Icarus 03:04
Icarus was a boy with wings. He touched the open sky. With wax and feathers and a bit of string he wore the chance to try. Oh, everyone knows he fell. Yes, that's the part they tell. But something else is true. Before he fell, he flew. In the canvas stands a plowing man, shepherds and ships at sea. They take no notice of the falling boy and his small tragedy. Oh, everyone turns away from his forsaken cry. Are we so afraid that we might fly too high? We're old enough that we both know how this story could end. Both of us have tried and failed, tried and tried again. Now we stand by the fire and say these vows and pray the words hold true. Will this love melt away or last our whole lives through? Oh baby, put on your wings. Let's jump out to the sun. Our fears will melt away. This flight has just begun. Icarus. Icarus was a boy with wings. He touched the open sky.

Fame and Fortune by Kiya Heartwood Capo 2 G Looking back I see you em As a warning and a sign. am You were confident and brilliant C D Or I thought so at the time. You find yourself in an early grave. Keep your wits and study the signs Keep returning to the scene of a crime. When you find that happy home. Read the fine print on that tombstone. Burn your sage and whisper your charms. Light signal fires , sound the alarms. I built my house on a burial ground Ghost and spirits were all around I hear bumping. I am never alone. Forgotten crypts and forgotten bones. Hey hey Ya Hey Hey hey Ya Hey Hey hey Ya Hey Hey hey Ya

Perfect 03:41
Perfect by Kiya Heartwood F In a coffee shop you’re waiting F And it’s such a perfect scene. C I am terrible and tragic. C You are my very dream. F And the perfect waitress brings me F A perfect glass of tea. C You are wrapped up like a present. C G You scared the hell right out of me. You’re perfect. F C Perfect. I can feel you from this distance. I can feel you on my skin. Got a backpack full of kisses. Tell me where we should begin. And you play me like the b side You know all the words. Your name is my refrain. You’re the best song that I’ve heard You’re perfect. Solo Am So turn the lights out Darlin’ C Touch my belly in the dark. F By now you know your name G Is tattooed on my heart. I love your kind of stubborn. This love’s growing like a weed. You’re a sudden, funny magic. It’s your magic that I need. Back into the garden. Naked side by side. No jewel in our resistance. Nothing left to hide. Cut another apple. Cut me to the core. That’s how this tree gets planted. Growing more and more You’re perfect. Love Everybody. Write Great Songs. Raise Hell.

Veinte Anos 04:14
-snip- English translation (thanks to YouTube video commenter clare oleary) Twenty Years, What does my love mean to you, if you no longer love me? We should not dwell on love that is past. I was your life's desire one day long ago. Now I'm history I can't face the change. If only we could make our dreams come true . If only you would love me as you did twenty years ago. How mournfully we watch a love that ebbs away heartlessly a part of the soul is torn away.
